Year of Release 2005. This year represents the turning of the tide.
Give us the humility to accept the things we cannot change, and give us the courage to change to change the things we can
and give us the wisdom to know the difference.

We started the tree planting as a pilot project in 2004 following a Bird watching holiday with Modou Colley. We began by planting over 200 trees and have since planted a further 200 trees involving the whole of the Faraba community.

We have returned to review the success of this first season of tree planting and to see how much damage is being done to the older forest trees locally. As a result we are now planning to provide more tree protection as well as the tree planting. The West African Bird Studies Association undertakes the main day to day bird surveying of the areas and you can find out more about them through www.wabsa.org.uk The Faraba Community through the local school oversees the wardening and protection of the trees.

We hope to be able to get updated satellite images of the areas in question subject to the support of DFID.
