WHY
PLANT AND PROTECT TREES
Trees
are under huge threat in Gambia and most of Africa
due to the demands for firewood, the needs of the
local population and for foreign income. Trees
are vitally important in helping to reduce climate
change and this project aims to help via its network
within the tourism industry – an area where
there is already a huge environmental burden -
we need to support significant tree planting and
protection in order to minimise this damage.
